- You need 2.4GHz Wi-Fi — this camera connects only on the 2.4GHz band, not 5GHz. Most dual-band routers have both; just make sure 2.4GHz is enabled in your router settings. Not sure? WhatsApp us your router model before ordering and we'll confirm.
- Good Wi-Fi signal at the camera spot — a weak signal means laggy live view. If the spot is far from the router, plan for a Wi-Fi extender.
- A power socket within reach — the camera runs on a 5V adapter (included), not a battery.
- Buy a microSD card separately — you'll need a 32–128GB Class 10 card for recording. Cloud storage is optional and paid; local SD recording is completely free.

Q1. My router is 5GHz — will this camera work?
The camera connects only on 2.4GHz. If your router is dual-band (most are), enable the 2.4GHz band and connect to that — it will work fine. It will not work on a 5GHz-only network. If in doubt, WhatsApp us your router model before ordering and we'll confirm.
Q2. Is an SD card included in the box?
No — you need to buy a 32GB to 128GB Class 10 microSD card separately. A 64GB card typically holds around 4–7 days of motion-based recording.
Q3. Does recording stop if the internet goes down?
No. Local recording to the SD card continues even without internet. You only need internet for live view and alerts on your phone.
Q4. Who does the installation?
It's DIY-friendly — screws and wall anchors come in the box, and the ezykam+ app setup takes about 10 minutes. If you get stuck, message us on WhatsApp and we'll help you through it, free.
Q5. How do warranty claims work?
The camera carries a 2-year CP Plus India warranty. Claims require a GST invoice, which we provide with every order. If anything goes wrong, contact us first — we'll help you coordinate with CP Plus service.
Q6. What if the adapter or camera is dead on arrival?
For DOA cases, contact us within 7 days with an unboxing video and we'll send a replacement. This is why we recommend every customer records an unboxing video on delivery.
Q7. How much does cloud storage cost?
Cloud is an optional paid CP Plus subscription (plans are shown in the app). For most users, free SD-card recording is enough — consider cloud only if you want off-site backup.
Q8. Can it handle sun and rain outdoors?
Yes, it's built for outdoor use. We still recommend mounting it under a shade or ledge — keeping direct rain and sun off any electronics extends its life.
Q9. Can I watch from my phone when I'm away? How many users?
Yes — the ezykam+ app gives you live view, playback and two-way talk from anywhere in the world. One account can be shared with family members.
